I think the new update in the second edition of my THE BLOUNT GUIDE TO READING, SPELLING AND PRONOUNCING ENGLISH will greatly enhance this edition. I have put English phonetic keys to the most common mistakes that English speakers make when pronouncing Spanish words. Even here in El Paso, Texas, where everyone speaks some of both languages, I hear the radio announcers mispronouncing words with the ñ like piñata, años, niño, Treviño. This book will help them pronounce those words correctly.

I feel like rewriting all my books. I’e been months revising the 2nd edition of the Reading Book and hope it will be live soon. After giving two classes in Mexico City using it as a textbook, I saw that the non-English-Speaking teachers needed more explanations. Although the courses were for teaching teachers how to teach reading (especially to small children), the group were pleased and amazed to find how much their own English pronunciation had improved.

The second edition of the Blount Guide to Reading, Spelling and Pronouncing English is in its final revision and will be live very soon. The third book in the Science Fiction series SILVERSUIT is finished and ready for revision. The first two have been started and am working on them.

I’m very pleased with the results of my recent courses in Mexico City using my Reading, Spelling and Pronouncing English book as text. Although the course was designed to teach teachers how to teach reading and phonetics, the non-native English speakers were all amazed and pleased to find out how their own pronunciation of English had radically improved. A wonderful added plus!

Have been to 10 Montessori Schools around El Paso, Texas and they are all excited about my Reading book. I can see that it is going to be a great help in the workshops I will be giving. Beverley Blount (B. Palma)
